Welcome to the Torrevieja Area Guide. Torrevieja is one of the oldest towns in the south Costa Blanca area. It´s principle industry used to be salt production, believed to date back to Roman times. It is said that the vogages of Christopher Columbus were funded by the profits from the salt producers.

Easily accessible from both El Altet (Alicante) and San Javier (Murcia) airports via either the AP-7 (Autopista del Mediterraneo) or the N332 Torrevieja has become an extremely popular destination for both holiday makers and ex pats from a wide variety of countries.
