Hondon Valley Area Guide

Welcome to the Hondon Valley Area Guide. The Hondon Valley lies just south west of Alicante and is famous for it´s almond groves and it´s grape vines, which means there are a number of bodegas offering wine tasting and bottles of wine direct to the public. There are number of small towns and villages dotted along the Hondon Valley.

Hondon de las Nieves and Hondon de los Frailles are the two major towns in the valley. Both beautiful towns offer residents and visitors all the amenities they will need, and a superb medical emergency centre is a few kilometres away in the larger town of Aspe. Throughout the valley you have magnificent views of the mountains and valley stretching into the distance. The local population are very welcoming and many ex pats have settled in the valley very successfully. Both Hondon towns have street markets which offer customers fresh local produce.

In the Hondon valley you will find many small bars and restaurants, local bakers, butchers, medical centre, dentist, chemist, banks, opticians, hairdresser, shoe shop, supermarkets, electrical goods suppliers, post office, and schools. All towns in the valley pride themselves on their fiestas.
