Almoradi Area Guide

Welcome to the Almoradi Area Guide. Almoradi lies a little in land from Guardamar del Segura. Almoradi it is thought was originally settled in the 12th Century. The population is approximately 18,000. Neighbouring towns include Algorfa, Catral, Benijofar, Rojales, Ciudad Quesada, Dolores, and Benijuzar

The town has a wonderful atmosphere and taking coffee in the town square allows you to soak up the tradition that makes Almoradi one of the nicest places to live in the Southern Costa Blanca.

Although in land Almoradi is just under a 20 minute drive to the coast and the beaches of Guardamar del Segura. With the growth of the town has come greater infrastructure including a thoroughly modern health centre. If you are there you should visit the Cortés Theatre, the casino and the San Andrés church.

The town is a good blend of old and new, and the famous La Finca Golf Course at nearby Algorfa has led to increased development over the recent years. Good routes to both Alicante (El Altet) and Murcia (San Javier) airports via the nearby AP-7 Autopista Mediterraneo have also helped the development of the town.

The Saturday market covering most of the streets in the centre of town is another popular feature of Almoradi.
